After weddings in Hampshire, London, Dorset (twice) and Berkshire in the first 8 days of June it was a relief to be back near home at Hampton Court House as the wedding photographer for Marion and Henry. I met up with Marion and Henry a couple of weeks back for their Pre-Wedding Shoot on Southbank. It was a good chance to get them in front of the camera, as well as to have a chat through their plans for the day. They also chose to have a signature image from the shoot for their guests to sign at the wedding. These look fantastic when framed and look great up on a wall.
The bridal prep took place in East Molesey at Marions parents house which meant a fantastically short journey. If I hadn’t needed the car later I would have walked it, especially as after the wettest year I have ever had for weddings we were blessed with glorious sunshine and temperatures that actually suited June! As I often find with bridal preps, the atmosphere was excited with a just a little hint of nerves. It’s a great way to start the day and always a lot of fun.
When everyone was ready I jumped in the car and headed over the bridge to the outstanding Hampton Court House. It’s hidden down a small private road just by Hampton Court Palace and if you didn’t know it was there it would be very easy to miss! It’s is a beautiful venue with gorgeous views out over Bushy Park. It’s not often you shoot a wedding and can look out of the huge windows and see deer strolling around outside! There is also the slightly unusual Shell Grotto in the grounds, where we just had to get a shot of Marion and Henry. I don’t think I have ever seen anything quite like it! The rest of the day went smoothly, everyone taking full advantage of the beautiful weather and the stunning grounds.
As you’d expect, below are some of my favourites of the day. For the guests of the wedding, the rest of the images are available in my client galleries, just ask Marion and Henry for the password.
