I first met with Debbie and Mike for their Culeaze House Wedding Photography after being recommended by a friend down in Dorset (who incidentally provided the beautiful flowers for the wedding). They were after a documentary wedding photographer and after coming to see me to chat through the plans for their day I was delighted when they decided to book me. I absolutely love Dorset and this was one of 2 weddings down there in just under a week!
I headed down the night before to avoid the almost guaranteed volumes of traffic heading down to the coast for the Jubilee double bank holiday weekend, so it was just a short trip across Dorset in the glorious morning sunshine to meet up with Debbie for the bridal prep. It was a very chilled start to the day, with little moments of excitement as the thoughts of the upcoming events of the day surfaced. Debbie was all ready with plenty of time to spare I headed over to St Christopher Church in Winfreth Newburgh to meet up with Mike. It’s a really pretty church and it was lovely to see the sun shining for a change! A lovely ceremony and we were back outside for some confetti before heading to the gorgeous Culeaze House for the reception.
Culeaze House is a beautiful victorian manor house with lovely gardens and a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. It makes a lovely backdrop for the reception with plenty of space for people to mingle and a large marquee for the sit down meal. We took advantage of the grounds and the lake for some photos before heading into the marquee for the speeches and then the wedding breakfast. At this point the rain decided to rear it’s head, but thankfully wasn’t an issue as we were undercover and it cleared up shortly after the first dance.
Some of my favourites from the day are below, please feel free to comment and share!
