I was really looking forward to Michelle and Chris’s Hampton Court House Wedding, it’s one of my all time favourite venues (and only just round the corner from home!) and I knew it was going to be a really great day.
It started off with bridal preparations at Chris and Michelle’s place in New Malden. When I arrived Michelle was busy having her make-up done under the watchful eye of none other than Steven Gerrard! Obviously this made sure all went smoothly. Once all ready the bridesmaids grabbed their beautiful sunflower themed bouquets and headed off to Hampton Court House, shortly followed by Michelle and her Dad.
The ceremony took place in the gorgeous main hall overlooking Bushy Park. It is a really beautiful room with high, intricate ceilings and a wonderful backdrop through the large windows. Chris had a little bit of an extra wait as the registrars got stuck in traffic, but it was all worth it. The huge smile on face the moment he saw Michelle walk up the aisle said it all. Unfortunately, bring Britain, as the ceremony finished the heavens opened so it was through to the conservatory for drinks and canapes. Thankfully, the clouds did break for a while which allowed us to get some shots outside in a little bit of glorious sunshine.
After the wedding breakfast and the speeches were complete it was back out to the conservatory for some G&T’s courtesy of the Travelling Gin company whilst the band set up. There was a fantastic atmosphere in the room, lots going on and plenty of laughs and banter! Michelle and Chris took to the dancefloor for their first dance before the excellent Marylebone Jelly kicked off their main set and had the dancefloor packed. The great vibe continued into the evening, everyone having a great time and plenty of dancing going on. It was a great end to a really wonderful day.
As always, below are a ‘few’ images to tell the story of the day. Please feel free to comment at the bottom of the page!
