Engagement Photography in Bloomsbury

Alison, Chris and I have trying to get together for their Engagement Photography in Bloomsbury for what seems like ages. Unfortunately, the awful weather we have had has lead to multiple rain checks so it was a relief when we finally got a break that allowed us to meet up. It’s not long to go until their wedding at Dartmouth House so I was glad we managed to sort it out.

We met up at St Georges Gardens in Bloomsbury which is one of the many very pretty little parks in London, although we discovered at the time there is a huge development taking place at one end so decided to go for a little walk around the area. There are lots of classically beautiful Georgian townhouses in the area and Russel Square is a short walk away.

Alison and Chris were great. Pre-wedding shoots are always a little strange for most people as it takes a little while to get used to being in front of the camera and they are pretty much the exact opposite of how I shoot a wedding. It’s good fun to meet up though and they soon relaxed and got into the spirit of it – even ‘borrowing’ a table outside a restaurant for a quick shot!

As always, we got to chat about plans for the day – this is one of the real advantages of the shoot as it gives great chance to catch up and talk about timings whilst also getting some nice shots of just the two of them.

Some of my favourites from the session are below, please feel free to comment and share (there are lots of handy buttons to let you do so). If you’re looking for a photographer, why not get in touch!

I’m really looking forward to the wedding day now, hoping the forecast is right and the weather is good. For pictures from the big day, please don’t forget either subscribe to the page or to check back soon!
